My name is Eleanor Brown and I am a queer illustrator based in Brighton and Hove, UK. Originally from London, I'm loving my new life by the seaside.

By day you can also find me working in the NHS as a Children's Speech and Language Therapist. In all my walks of life, you will find me flying the flag for children's literature and the transformative picture books have on early development.

As an illustrator, watercolour and gouache are my favourite tools. I create picture books with warmth, humour and heart. Created with warmth, humour and heart, my picture books are inspired by the outdoors and family life, usually involving queer characters and identities.

I started to keep a sketchbook during the first lockdown under the guidance of 'art club' from the Good Ship Illustration. Since then I've taken their Fly your Freak Flag & Picture Book course and jumped headfirst into illustration.

I love to create bespoke wedding stationery, and also sell prints and cards on Etsy. These celebrate queer love in life's every day moments. It's really important to me to provide representation and authentic meaningful illustrations for my community. I love to create stationery suites that get all the little details right that tells the story of the couple's relationship.
When I'm not scribbling away in a sketchbook, you can find me taking up new hobbies (most recently lino printing and bouldering), training for my next race and making new travel plans...
